Get a paddle with a classic, predictable feel

A honeycomb core is the traditional paddle core. It plays consistently and predictably, and you feel a little more of the ball in your hand than with a foam core. At 16 mm it feels softer and gives more control than a thinner paddle, with less pop. It suits you if you like a familiar feel and play a soft, patient game. If you want a foam core, look at the 16 mm precision paddle. If you want more pop, look at the 14 mm paddle.

A wider face gives a bigger sweet spot and is more forgiving. A longer face gives more reach and leverage with a smaller sweet spot. A thicker core, like the 16 mm core in this paddle, feels softer and more controlled. Our Learning Centre covers both: paddle head shapes and paddle thickness.
